How to show soft skills ?

Through usage of action verbs in summary, work experience, project section, others like coordinated, handled, Spearheaded, etc.

BEFORE: Conducted training for internal teams.
AFTER: Conducted over 20 trainings in smart learning techniques with high school students and teachers, reaching over 500 people.

Adding numbers to your resume bullets. It helps recruiters really picture the impact you’ve made in your position, and it frankly just sounds more impressive.

    • Add accomplishments/achievements along with your roles and responsibilities.

How to identify your accomplishments ?

    Follow the PAR Method

    • Problem: Identify a responsibility or issue at work.
    • Action: Discuss how you addressed the problem.
    • Results: What was the outcome of that action.

Action Verb + Task or Project + Metric or Result

    • Bullets or paragraphs that are 3 lines or longer, are likely to not be read.
    • Don’t abbreviate job titles. But if used in Job Description, then use both like Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
    • Avoid phrases like "responsible for..." and "duties included..."
    • Remove personal pronouns (e.g. I, my, me)
    • Articles of speech (a, an, the) are omitted on resumes since they tend to slow the reader and waste valuable time.
